DWS On 29 April we had a Ba-Dikwanyane tourism cultural festival event.
The purpose of the cultural event was to showcase the different cultures in this small beautiful village of Phiring and also what we can offer to tourists as community activities. This all forms part of our tourism marketing. The team(Ecosystem Custodians and YES team) prepared for the event, we set up the venue , tent and chairs and meal( pap, chicken feet, necks and intestines) which are considered our Phiring traditional food.
We started our event at 10:00 upon arrival we took pictures of different attires, we proceeded then began with our program where ran with the programme of the day. We participated in activities such as Tourism welcome song, Wedding songs (tsa manyalo), cultural dancing( makgakgase), Traditional games( Morabaraba and Diketo) and traditional food competition.
A very remarkable day we had we were we relived old moments and got to remember how wonderful and precious entertainment transpire in our village. “So amazing to see how our community is still enjoying eating and continuing with olden days food
